Tesla CEO Elon Musk, has proposed a new name for Donald Trump’s Truth Social Media, accusing Twitter of censorship, which he has recently agreed to purchase for $44 billion.
Elon Musk, whose purchase of the San Francisco-based platform was unveiled earlier this week, on Twitter compared it to the former president Trump’s own social network firm.
Musk wrote, “Truth Social (terrible name) exists because Twitter censored free speech.”
He suggested that it “should be called Trumpet instead!”
On Monday, before Musk’s $44 billion purchase deal for Twitter was overwhelmingly approved by the company’s board of directors, Former President Donald Trump said that he has no intentions to return to Twitter, even if Elon Musk reinstates his account, and that he will instead focus on his new social media network, Truth Social.
“I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’ll make improvements to it and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on TRUTH,” Trump said in a statement.
